The GEU Story

Global Education Universe (Pty) Ltd, (GEU) a proudly South African based educational institution, was established by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kay Naidu in 2020, in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic.  GEU was created purely to transform, innovate, reengineer and rethink education practices in teaching and learning. COVID-19 created the global terminology of "the "new normal" and as with all things that are new, requires a new mindset, thought processes and renewed strategies in the way educational institutions discharge their obligations to learners and the way in which teaching, training and learning are conducted. It also paved the way for new and improved models of education including franchisees who are looking for a solid educational brand as a business that has met the requirements of the Franchise Association of South Africa (FASA).

Kay has more than 3 decades in private education and training in South Africa spanning across all educational levels from Grade 000 to university-level based qualifications. Kay has worked across the Council on Higher Education (CHE); South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA); Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO); the Umalusi Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training; the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and the 19 Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETA's).

The GEU concept is based on mixed and blended forms of learning that are adapted to specific fields of study and programme mixes, whilst adhering to or exceeding minimum accreditation and registration criteria as required by educational regulatory bodies in South Africa.

With its head office in Sandton, Gauteng, the GEU Concept is based on that of a low-cost provider creating value-add for both the student and franchise education communities in South Africa. The core fields of study are Early Childhood Development; Information Technology; Accounting and Bookkeeping; Travel and Tourism; Business Management; Traffic Management; Maritime and Journalism. Further fields of study will be offered in the 2022 academic year.

The GEU has undertaken accreditation processes with the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO); the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), CompTIA and the International Computer Driving Licence Foundation (ICDL). The Quality Management System (QMS) of the GEU is nationally and internationally benchmarked against the prestigious requirements of the SABS ISO 9001:2015 QMS which is a world-class quality management systems standard.
